PoggiPlay Redefines iGaming with Immersive Design and Future Trends
BoS: What sets you apart in the iGaming industry?
PoggiPlay: Visual execution is, of course, our mark in the industry. This distinctive style is what players recognize us for after trying to play our games. However, visuals are just the tip of the iceberg. Complexity and meticulous design are our top priorities in development. This is our key feature — the approach to game creation.
We create games for next-gen players who, firstly, are tired of monotony, and secondly, have access to more than just casino games. The vast gaming world also includes mobile, console, and PC games. The formats may differ, but the level of quality, engagement, and dynamics in the iGaming industry tends to fall short in comparison.
Our primary goal is to deliver an experience that is as close as possible to major projects from the gaming industry for younger generation players.
BoS: What was the inspiration of developing casino games and how has the journey in this industry evolved?
PoggiPlay: Mobile games. Portability, engaging mechanics, and high player retention rates generate statistics in the millions of users. The revenue from such projects matches these impressive figures. That’s why our primary reference point has been the most popular mobile games.
Borrowing some mobile gaming inspiration is both fun and exciting, but we didn’t arrive at the perfect formula right away. It took a number of projects to refine the concept. However, the result was worth every minute spent searching for the ideal vision. Now, every idea we have comes to life in a game exactly the way we envision it. In 2025, we are ready to implement our ideas in some of the classic casino themes to let our players enjoy traditional games with the PoggiPlay charm.
After all, this approach together with correct business techniques has already let us multiply the player base 50 times against 2023, so we’re pretty confident quality content works wonders!
BoS: How do you keep up with the fast-paced innovations in the gambling space?
PoggiPlay: To be honest, we initially paid attention to trends within the industry. Of course, we still observe and take note of them, and we try to factor them into our game development process. What we truly consider are global trends — what’s happening in the world, what people need, and what they expect when transitioning from the external world to iGaming platforms, and so on.
This year though, we aim to create homages to classic casino themes, like our recent slot Sultan’s Diamond.
BoS: What trends do you see shaping the future of casino gaming?
PoggiPlay: The technical and “lore” components are undoubtedly the most important drivers of progress in casino games. The approach that more and more providers are taking in game development today will lead to advanced progression mechanics, cross-platform capabilities, and maybe even the integration of VR and AR technologies in the future.
Slots can enhance long-term engagement by introducing character development, skill-building, and storytelling, while maintaining progress and collections across casinos and platforms. Players will also be able to fully immerse themselves in game worlds and interact with all slot elements.
All of this modern progress points toward games becoming more interactive, engaging, and social, increasing their appeal and player retention.
How PoggiPlay Builds Partnerships and Leverages Streaming in iGaming
BoS: What do you look for in a platform or partner when integrating games?
PoggiPlay: Our approach depends on the partnership model. For traditional casinos, it’s crucial that our games are prominently visible to players and that the casino demonstrates a responsible gaming approach. When it comes to social casinos and platforms, we are at the beginning of our journey in this space, making us particularly interested in exploring how this collaboration evolves and aligns with our vision.
BoS: What attracted you to partnering with Book of Slots, and what features make it stand out for your company?
PoggiPlay: What initially attracted us to partnering with Book of Slots was the proactive attitude and forward-thinking approach. BoS goes a step beyond the traditional affiliate system, combining elements of social casinos with a platform where providers can share their games. Players can feel like part of a larger community, which enhances engagement.
Additionally, the potential for collaboration with streamers and the high quality of provider page content make BoS stand out. This blend of community-building and attention to detail made the partnership a natural choice for us.
BoS: How do you see the rise of streaming platforms influencing the popularity of casino games?
PoggiPlay: What exactly is streaming, and what benefits can it bring to anyone other than the streamer? First and foremost, it’s a powerful, direct connection between streamers and their audience. Showcasing games in real-time, without the understandable but predictable advertising from creators or casinos themselves, develops trust and creates a sense of community.
Yes, most streamers play certain games as part of advertising contracts with specific brands. However, the average viewer is drawn to the authenticity of the gameplay, the excitement of big wins, and the opportunity to interact with both the streamer and fellow viewers.
For casino games, this means, firstly, increased visibility, engagement, and reach. It may sound simple, but it’s incredibly effective. Secondly, it opens up a range of innovative marketing strategies: exclusive content, special bonuses for viewers, collaborations with streamers to create themed games, and more.
As streaming platforms grow, their interactive and social nature will become a key factor in shaping the future of the casino gaming industry.
PoggiPlay’s Innovative Design and Multicultural Approach to iGaming
BoS: How do you decide on the themes and mechanics for your slot games?
PoggiPlay: The start of every new game development is always a deep well of ideas. Our young and energetic team contributes their concepts, which we gather into a single “stack.” It’s always more exciting and productive when different people bring different ideas to the table, rather than placing the burden on one person. Everyone has their own life experience and perspective, so the ideas are always unique and worth exploring. Honestly, we already have enough concepts for at least 20 slots ahead — it’s just a matter of time.
The key to this process is starting with what the player would want. Sometimes, the idea goes even further — not just what the player wants now, but what they want without even realizing it yet! We are surrounded by these thoughts not only during the concept and lore stages but also when designing the mechanics. Something captivating, outstanding, or simply so engaging that players want to come back to again and again. Replayability is the key to engagement.
Next, we take the “stack of concepts” and the “stack of mechanics” and match them together. Which concept fits best with which mechanic, and which mechanic shines brightest in which world? These are the “rails” on which the development process moves forward from this moment, heading toward release like a train.
BoS: How do you adapt your games to meet the cultural and regulatory needs of different markets?
PoggiPlay: Our games are multicultural. We strive to ensure that people from any country or race can browse our game portfolio and find something they genuinely enjoy. We create for everyone who wants to try our memorable projects.
Moreover, our games feature people of different genders and races, as well as animals and even aliens. So, in theory, there could be demand for our games even in a neighboring galaxy!
Inside PoggiPlay: Themes and Roadmaps Behind Their Latest Releases
BoS: What inspired the themes and concepts behind the latest game releases? (Pink Beard, Inside the Hat, Pumpkin Potion and Calle Piñata)
PoggiPlay: Pink Beard and Inside the Hat had been sitting in our concepts folder for quite some time. The "nautical" theme holds a special place in our hearts — we’ve already released four games where the sea plays a role in one way or another. However, until Pink Beard, we had never featured a pirate. After all, what comes to mind first when thinking about naval battles, the romance of treasure maps, and dangerous yet rewarding sea voyages? Pirates, of course!
With Inside the Hat, we were captivated by the idea of creating a gameplay experience that blurs the line between reality and magic. We wanted the player to not only watch the stage but also participate in the performance alongside Maestro, the game’s main character.
Pumpkin Potion was designed with Halloween in mind. But this time, we didn’t just want to “scare” players or fill the game with familiar holiday imagery. We aimed to reimagine the character of the Pumpkin-Headed Jack. This narrative is deeply woven into the game itself, and our "Design Diaries," published on social media, provide a detailed backstory for the Pumpkin-Headed character. These unique lore-driven ideas always inspire us.
As for Calle Piñata, the inspiration came more straightforwardly. We were drawn to the famous fiesta and the grandeur with which it’s celebrated. The explosion of colors, atmospheric music, and, of course, the piñata itself became the starting point for creating the game’s concept.
BoS: What kind of experience are you aiming to deliver with these new games?
PoggiPlay: First and foremost, an atmosphere of immersion. We want players not just to play our games but to experience the events on the screen as if they were their own. Immersion into captivating worlds with memorable characters, living through epic adventures—whether it’s a naval battle, helping brew a potion in a magical cave, or celebrating a vibrant fiesta on the streets of a Spanish town.
This is the kind of new experience we strive to deliver to our players.
BoS: Are these games part of a larger series or roadmap for upcoming releases in 2025? (Pink Beard, Inside the Hat, Pumpkin Potion and Calle Piñata)
PoggiPlay: Starting in 2024, all our games are part of a structured roadmap. However, at least in the first half of 2025, we don’t plan to revisit the existing worlds of the PoggiPlay Universe. We have an almost indecently large number of brand-new themes and adventures that you’ve never seen in our games before, and we want to surprise players with every release.
As I had said, we plan to expand into more traditional themes to reach more and more players. We’ve provided some out-of-box experiences already, like waiting in line of a night club, or taking part in a pastry-battle. Now it’s time to bring this creativity of ours into timeless “Roman Empire” themes.
PoggiPlay Leading Innovation and Shaping the Future of iGaming
BoS: How do you stay innovative and adapt to emerging trends in iGaming?
PoggiPlay: Each year, we significantly improve the visual and technical quality of our games. While it might be hard for the average player to notice this progression (unless, of course, they play exclusively our games) some of our older projects have already been reworked to match the level of our current releases. For us, the results are clear, and we draw tremendous inspiration from our growth.
At this point, playing our games is just as enjoyable technically as it is visually. We design and implement features that align with industry trends and that we believe are essential for enhancing the player experience. With every new project, we continue to introduce something fresh.
BoS: What are your goals for the company in the next five years?
PoggiPlay: Being present everywhere our players are, making these progress predictions come true in our games, and being able to handle it all with no fuss!
